
WHY Writing for IELTS?
Writing is a complex process. It involves the appropriate use of vocabulary and grammar. Errors in the process of writing lead to poor scores on the writing test.

Writing for IELTS includes two tasks according to the type of test, Academic or General Training. In order to score a Band 9 the following guidelines have to be kept in mind,

Task Achievement/ Task Response:
The tasks (1 and 2) fully satisfy all the requirements. The tasks clearly present a fully developed response.
2. Coherence and Cohesion:
The tasks have a proper sequence of ideas (coherence) and a perfect grammatical and lexical relationship within the text (cohesion).
3. Lexical Resources:
The tasks have a wide range of vocabulary. Minor errors occur only as slips.
4. Grammatical Range and Accuracy:
The tasks have a wide range of structures with full flexibility and accuracy. Minor errors occur only as slips.
